How we work

We follow a consistent process. It starts with a research question. We design the methodology, collect and analyze data, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and then build software that applies those findings at scale.

This cycle means our products are not based on assumptions or trends. They're based on evidence. And because we continue to research while we build, the products improve with every deployment.

What makes us different

We do the science ourselves

We don't license research from others. We design studies, collect data, run analyses, and publish. 15+ publications in journals like The Leadership Quarterly, BMJ Open, and Health & Social Care in the Community.

We build the technology ourselves

From data architecture to user interface. We develop machine learning models, design measurement instruments, and ship production software. No outsourcing of core technology.

We bridge two worlds

Academic rigor and product delivery. Most research never becomes a product. Most products have no scientific basis. We do both, and each side makes the other stronger.

Brian Doornenbal, PhD

Data scientist and founder of LusoNexo. PhD from VU Amsterdam on social hierarchies and leadership. 15+ peer-reviewed publications. Research collaborations with Harvard University.

Developer of LeadershipFacts, Impala Impact, Rapflections, and the Positive Health Questionnaire (CPHQ). Contributed to research projects on brain health (MOCIA) and arthrosis (SMART-AI).

Specializes in machine learning, health measurement, leadership assessment, and innovative questionnaire design. Develops AI models and publishes the research behind them.

Based in Portugal. Works internationally, primarily in the Netherlands.
